wuxiaoyuan
As an artist, Xiaoyuan is deeply passionate about expressing himself through the mediums of oil paint and watercolor, using abstract expressionism as his primary mode of artistic expression.
The driving force behind his artistic vision is the complex interplay between environment and human behavior. Having moved from Guangzhou, China to London, he is continually inspired by the cultural differences and unique qualities of people and places that he encounters, and this serves as the foundation for his creative process.
Xiaoyuan's artistic themes revolve around the relationship between environmental changes and human psychology, exploring the potential connections between the two in the context of behavior.
When he creates, Xiaoyuan is drawn to the minutiae of everyday life, and his observations of the world around him are infused with a deep sense of curiosity and wonder. The incredible diversity of London, from its people to its culture, food, and fashion, never ceases to inspire him.
The works of Henri Rousseau and Hieronymus Bosch have had an immense impact on Xiaoyuan's artistic journey, particularly the thought-provoking scenes and characters depicted in Bosch's "The Garden of Earthly Delights."
Ultimately, Xiaoyuan's goal is to create something truly unique and thought-provoking by blending Eastern thinking with the context of Western art. Through his art, he aspires to connect with his audience on a deeper level, sparking new ideas and conversations that will continue to resonate long after the canvas has been completed.
